Digital Credit

Dean T. Criares is a Managing Partner, Head of Credit at DigitalBridge Investment Management. Mr. Criares has over 30 years of experience investing in credit products with specialties in leveraged finance, structured products and capital markets.

Prior to DigitalBridge, Mr. Criares was a co-managing partner of Sound Harbor Partners, a private investment manager focused on non-investment grade corporate credit.  In 2017, Sound Harbor was acquired by Allianz Global Investors where, until joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Criares continued to advise the funds previously managed by Sound Harbor Partners.

Prior to Sound Harbor, Mr. Criares was a Senior Managing Director and partner of The Blackstone Group where he was the founding member of the firm’s senior debt platform.  Mr. Criares joined Blackstone in 2002 and built the firm’s senior debt business to scale with offices in New York and London.

Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Criares spent 17 years at CIBC World Markets with focus on sourcing, underwriting and monitoring non-investment grade credit investments.  From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Criares served as original member of Trimaran Advisors, a CIBC affiliated asset manager, where he was responsible for growing and managing the unit’s $3.0 billion senior debt portfolio.

Mr. Criares received a Bachelor of Arts from Drew University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Michael J. Zupon is a Senior Advisor to DigitalBridge Credit. Mr. Zupon has over 30 years of investment experience managing leveraged loan, high yield bond, distressed debt, mezzanine debt and private equity investments.

Prior to DigitalBridge, Mr. Zupon was a Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer of the Allianz Global Investors (“AllianzGI”) US Private Credit Solutions team. Mr. Zupon joined AllianzGI in January 2017 following the acquisition by AllianzGI of Sound Harbor Partners’ investment funds. Mr. Zupon founded Sounded Harbor Partners’ in 2009 to provide private credit to US companies.

Prior to founding Sound Harbor in 2009, Mr. Zupon was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group from 1999‐2009 and was a Partner and member of the Management Committee. Mr. Zupon founded Carlyle's Leveraged Finance business and led its growth to over $13 billion of assets under management. As head of U.S. Leveraged Finance, Mr. Zupon served as Chief Investment Officer, Loan Portfolio Manager and Special Situations Portfolio Manager. Mr. Zupon developed and led Carlyle's global expansion in credit and entry into secured loans, mezzanine debt and distressed investing. Mr. Zupon was a member of the Investment Committees to Carlyle Strategic Partners, a distressed fund and Carlyle Mezzanine Partners and served on the board of Carlyle Europe Leveraged Finance.

Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Zupon was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch and Banc of America Securities (f.k.a. NationsBanc Markets, Inc.), where he managed a department responsible for its leveraged loan underwriting business. Earlier, Mr. Zupon worked at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce's Acquisition Finance Group (CIBC).

Mr. Zupon earned a B.S. in Business from Miami University of Ohio.

Joshua Parrish is a Managing Director, Credit at DigitalBridge Investment Management. He has 20 years of experience in credit investing and leveraged finance.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Parrish was a Managing Director at Ascribe Capital with responsibility for originating, structuring, managing and exiting distressed and opportunistic investments across a variety of sectors.

Prior to Ascribe, Mr. Parrish was a Managing Director and founding team member of Sound Harbor Partners where he was responsible for originating, structuring, managing and exiting capital solutions investments and was a Portfolio Manager focused on risk management for Sound Harbor’s performing credit funds.

At both Ascribe Capital and Sound Harbor Partners, Mr. Parrish was an active board member for several portfolio companies. Prior to joining Sound Harbor, Mr. Parrish also held positions within high yield capital markets and credit advisory at Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan.

Mr. Parrish received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Chris Moon is a Managing Director, Credit at DigitalBridge Investment Management.  Mr. Moon is responsible for origination in the Americas and European regions and has over 20 years of experience in the Communications and Technology sectors including over 15 years of direct experience in sourcing transactions in digital infrastructure.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Moon was a Managing Director and founding member of the TMT Sector Lending Group at ING Bank and had responsibility for origination, structuring and underwriting leveraged transactions in North America and LatAm. Prior to ING, Chris was an Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Management Division and a CPA at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the Communications and Technology practice.

Mr. Moon received an MBA and MS in Tax and a dual Bachelor of Science in Finance and Computer Information Systems from Northeastern University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

H.K. Hallett is a Vice President at DigitalBridge Credit.  Mr. Hallett is based in New York, New York and is responsible for evaluating, executing and managing new and existing investments within the credit platform with a focus on digital infrastructure.

Prior to DigitalBridge, Mr. Hallett was a Senior Associate for Saratoga Investment Corp., a publicly-traded business development company and provider of customized debt financing and equity capital to middle market companies.  At Saratoga, Mr. Hallett was involved in credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio monitoring and valuation for a portfolio spanning a diverse range of industries.

Prior to joining Saratoga, Mr. Hallett was a senior investment banking analyst with Piper Sandler (fka Piper Jaffray & Co.), where he worked on a number of middle market acquisitions in the industrials and business services sectors.

Mr. Hallett holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as a minor in Spanish for the Professions.

Tiara Tingle is an Senior Associate at DigitalBridge Credit, based in New York. Ms. Tingle is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities, structuring and executing private investments, and managing new and existing portfolio investments within DigitalBridge’s credit platform.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Ms. Tingle was an investment banking associate in the Global Sports Financing Group at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on structuring senior debt and project finance transactions for sports clientele globally.

Ms. Tingle earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and with minors in German and Public Policy, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Hannah Lopez is an Associate at DigitalBridge Credit. Ms. Lopez is responsible for evaluating and managing new and existing credit investments.

Prior to DigitalBridge, Ms. Lopez worked as an Analyst for KKR’s Private Credit group, where she supported credit analysis, underwriting, monitoring and valuation across a diverse array of industries.

Ms. Lopez received a Bachelor of Arts, with a concentration in Economics and minor in Psychology, from Haverford College, where she was also a member of the varsity women’s lacrosse team.

Horace Zona is a Senior Advisor at DigitalBridge Credit.  Mr. Zona has over 30 years of experience in the Communications, Media and Technology sectors with over 25 years of direct experience sourcing transactions in Digital Infrastructure. 

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Zona was a Managing Director and Group Head of the Technology, Media Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at Truist Securities (formerly SunTrust Robinson Humphrey).  Mr. Zona founded the business de novo and built the 60 person team over 14 years by expanding into Digital Infrastructure, Digital Media, FinTech and Software practices, utilizing strategic client dialogue to deliver unique solutions in M&A and Debt and Equity Capital Markets.  Prior to Truist, Mr. Zona held several senior positions focused on Digital Infrastructure at Wachovia Securities (formerly First Union Securities) and TD Securities. 

Mr. Zona received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English Literature from Boston College.
